Yes, I finally changed my fuel filter on my Honda Civic. Took a fucking while though. Well.. I noticed that the little gas left in the old filter... was DARK. I poured a little into a napkin... and it was nearly black stuff coming out. So I guess I changed the filter just in time? I was noticing sluggish acceleration quarter way between gears. I only noticed the same thing when the car was over heating (A dumb ass at Midas forgot to... put the clamp back on the hose... you know ... the coolant hose going DIRECTLY TO THE THERMOSTAT. Yeah that hose). I had to re-fill my coolant 3 times in a row, IN THE SAME HOUR. I was lucky. No warping at all.
But don't let me go off somewhere. I noticed the same thing.
So - is the dark shit in the old filter... bad.
I had put Sea Foam into a full tank of gas when I noticed the sluggishness. It seased to slug... after 3 hours of driving, then it started again today around 5:30... then got pissed, and changed the fuel filter. I test drove, feels awesome.
Question: Should I go ahead and do sea foam again?
