Honda Civic and Accord: which has better acceleration? and a another general question.?

After much discussion with myself, i realize i will probably get one of these two cars as my first, but i don't know which one to get. I know that the Civic gets more mpg because it has a smaller engine, but will it accelerate as much as an Accord?

Also, which is better over all?
 
It depends on the years and models which you don't mention. A Civic SI will beat a standard Accord. But a V6 Accord will beat a stock Civic.
