Honda CG 125 advice please?

Please could anybody advise ? I am wanting to get a bike after having a car licence for over 10 years. I want to learn properly and thought that experience is the best way forward so my thoughts are to get a Honda cg 125 and use that for a while to go to work on. Can anyone offer any info from experience or views on this bike. Also do I have to add provisional category to my licence ? I passed my car test in 1999
