i have been riding dirt bikes for a little over 3 years now on my CRF 250 R and i will be the first to admit i am not an expert rider, however i don't think that i am a completely incompetent or uncoordinated one. lots of trail riding in the back woods(and every now and then roads) of Appalachia has given me confidence to try almost any hill climb or trail i come across. i am looking into purchasing a USED CBR and the 600 with ABS seems to be the way i want to go. obviously it is much more powerful and a completely new way of riding than what i am used to. but i had no prior experience to hopping on the 250R and i managed just fine. the way i see it is like my 250 the 600 will have all the power i need yet still being a light bike that is easier to handle than most, combined with the ABS system which from what i have read seems to take the hardest part, in my opinion, of riding and making it simpler, braking.

i have a few friends who ride as well but none of them have any extensive experience with street bikes. i would just like experienced riders opinions on my thought process and abilities.
