i have a problem with my 75 honda cb550. okay so at first it wouldn't start at all not even when i would turn the key the lights would turn on or nothing unless i would try to jump start it then the nuetral light and oil light and turn signals will come on but for the engine nothing not even a cranck or a turn over and it seemed it was cause of the right handlebar switch start button it was stuck. so i bought a new switch for a 78 thinking it would be the same thing when it arrived the two had totally different male connectors. one had the pointy gold connectors and the 78 one had the pins with square white box connector? so i was like ill try stripping them and making them connect. bad idea once i did that i smelled something burn and now not even the lights will come on with a jump start
so i need advice on to what will i have to replace? the whole wire harness? just the handlebar switch? both? or what? any help would be highly appreciated!!
really? so that means i dont have to replace the whole wiring? and i dont think it was the starter becuase if it was it would atleast turn over or click or something but it does nothing?
