Hello Everyone,
I'm a recent college grad that doesnt have a car. I have 5000 for a down payment and have a low credit score (565) because of student loans. However I just landed my first job and have a co-signer and want to know if anyones had experience with college grad programs/incentives from manufacterers. I would prefer a basic honda civic model, manual. Also with the economy I dont know if its possible to get approved. I included the link of the hondas program, thanks everyone.

Thank you for your answers. So does that mean they will not work with me on my APR as a college graduate at all if I dont qualify for the program? Other wise I will just buy a used car, I was going to try to use the graduate program to buy a new reliable car with my co-signer, but if they're just going to give me a 15% interest rate or something crazy, I'd be better of just buying a used car.

With the way the automarket is right now... you'll definitely be able to BUY the car. They will finance you if a financial institution will not. However with a credit score of 565 you likely will not get ther 5.9% interest rate for 60months (for qualified buyers only). They will likely make a song a dance that because you - the buyer - are not qualified, even with a co-signer you cant get the primo-rate. I would suggest trying to get a loan quote from Capital one (with a co-signer) at a reasonable rate and bring that WITH you to the transaction. If they play hard ball and deny you the loan at a low rate, take the loan from capital one.

I checked the link and I didnt notice any "cash back" incentives. Those would be best for you seeing as you probably wont qualifiy for the primo-interest rate. Have you checked out any other recent grad programs? Toyota = $1,000 cash back and 0.9% financing (although for qualified buyers), Hyundai between $1,000 and $2,500 depending on what you buy cash back. And most places will tack on an additional $500-$1000 if you have a diploma issued less than 1 year ago.
