Well you have rounded the choice down to two worthy adversaries. Both cars are very well made but I would have to side with Honda on this dilemma you are in for the simple matter that Honda is better. Honda was awarded #5 Best in Overall Quality by JD Power. Let Me just list the Pros and Cons
2006 Honda Accord:
Pros:
- 4-cylinder engine was the new K-series
- An Excellent 5-speed automatic transmission offers acceleration with Great Fuel economy (Low RPM Cruising)
- 4-cylinder Honda Accord is the first production car in the world to meet California's Super Ultra Low Emission standards
- New rear end styling compated to 2003 Model
- LED taillights
- Daytime running lights
- Heated side mirrors for EX models
- Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), also known as Electronic Stability Control
- New wheel designs
- New steering wheel cover
- Differently colored gauges
- Differently styled shift knob for automatic transmission models
- 4-cylinder engine's horsepower was increased to 166HP
- The 4-cylinder engines were now controlled with Drive-By-Wire (DBW), rather than a throttle cable, providing for smooth operation and enhanced throttle response.
- Excellent Interior Quality
- Comfortable Seating makes it perfect for long trips
Cons:
- Seats have a carpet like pattern
- Honda has been criticized for having road noise but consumers do say they do not notice
I really do not want to bother put the pros and cons for the Toyota Camry since the 2006 Camry and 2007 Camry are different and the list would take forever to type and because Toyota really copies much of what Honda does and I do not like them. They also have been sued for patent infringement and Toyota Executives told News Reporter that Toyota has buried much of their accident statistics so they would not have to pay the many people who have been injured from their vehicles but I will give you a list of cars near your price range:
