Honda accord,2002, manual transmission clutch pedal feels 'spongy'?

I just had the engine, V4, replaced and the manual transmission serviced ( the car had 137,000 miles so I asked the dealer to service/replace anything on the manual transmission that they would do if the car had 160,000 miles on it or whatever: much cheaper in labor to do it with the engine out of it I figured.) Now I got the car back and the clutch feels as though it is not connected to anything: spongy or unsubstantial: it did not feel this way before. I cannot imagine someone learning to drive a stick shift in this car now: it works fine for me because I know how to handle the clutch but it has lost all sensation of when the clutch is engaging when you are shifting. Thoughts? Thanks.

Either they did not notice the pedal was soft, they had the hydraulics disconnected and did not bleed all the air out of the system, or you have had the clutch slave cylinder or master cylinder fail.
