Honda Accord 2000 A/C compressor?

The a/c in my car is not cooling effectively. It is due to a problem with the compressor.

How much should the compressor replacement cost with new parts including labor?

Should I go for new or refurbished parts?

What is a good place for repairs like this in NW Houston?
 
i would check with honda they have recalled some of those if not online hondapartscheap.com will have all the parts cant help with the install though not going to be cheap at most places around 700 dollars or more.
 
Have it diagnose properly,compressor is the last thing to replace,all it does is pushing refrigerant around.Very rare for a compressor being replaced for not pumping,most of the time is for leaks or failing clutch or bearings.Good result with a good used one too,sometime even last longer than those refurbished one.
