Would like some advice from people who have owned these bikes or brands of bikes. Some issues I may run into and also your opinions of them.

I'm 6'2" 250lbs, I'm not worried about the size of the bikes or seat heights. I won't have any issues about those. This will be my first bike so any advice is appreciated.

The Honda 750 is a great bike but its really slow, a Yamaha 650 V Star is faster
The Kawasaki Vulcan 900 has bad reviews, most people hate it saying its underpowered, too heavy and uncomfortable

you can read the reviews at ( www.powersportsnetwork.com )

The best bike at a bargain price is the Yamaha 1100 V Star, or you can also go with the 900 or 1300 V Star
Local Yamaha Dealer is selling brand new 09 1100 V Star Custom for $5995, the Classic is $6495, and the Silverado at $6995 that's a lot of bike for that price, its rock solid reliable, powerful, and a great looking bike!

I have a Shadow 750 and despite what people think, it is not underpowered OR slow. My neighbor has a 900 Vulcan. He likes it and says it rides like a dream. I haven't ridden it yet but intend to do so soon. Another neighbor has a Suzuki Intruder. Nice looking bike. Maybe I can talk her into letting me ride that one too? I suggest a test ride if possible on any bike that interests you but for your size I would also recommend a larger than 750 or 900. You should fit well on a larger cruiser. Actually I probably would look at a Harley too if I were you.
