I asked a question regarding if homosexuality ever comes up as part of a security clearance in the military. This is the response I got:
For security cleranences invetigations, you WILL be asked about homsexual activity.....
The military doesn't do the investigation intself.. it just issues the final clearance basd on what the FBI/OPM/CID find
Source(s):
OPM Interview for secret clearence
I'm inclined to trust this response as much as one can trust anything on this site. I'm obviously never going to lie on a security clearance. Does this mean the fact that 7+ years ago I once fooled around with a girl (and I am a girl) a few times I should never join any branch of the military because it might come back to haunt me? ( I am now married, to a guy, by the way)
