about"? Was the author all washed up? when he wrote it. Did he ever come clean with his real reason for writing it? Was he the lifebuoy of the party? Don't try to soft soap me.
Were parts of Grime and Punishment dirty?

First of all, it is CRIME and Punishment. There may be some rather grimy characters, but that is not the title of the book. Also, Crime and Punishment is not a difficult read. It is long, yes, and has quite a bit of philosophy, but it is not an overly difficult book to read. Plus, you aren't even asking legitimate questions. Not ones that we can answer, anyways. Read the book yourself or form coherent sentences.

Dostoevsky was one of the most talented and intelligent writers ever alive on this planet. But you need to figure him out. If you can't, tough!

What it's about: A dirty student washes an evil old woman in premeditated bath and steals some of her sons' nose cleaning powders. He ends up selling the powder to a poor woman and her family. in debt and unable to pay out he kind of gets together with the daughter of the family he got hooked. Has a lovely mental meltdown, ends up getting very high and goes to the bordello that caters for wash fetishes and yeah it's well dirty - Basically shows that when you revel in your grime, you'll get so dirty you'll never come clean even if you check youself into the clinic and no matter what scrubbers you do afterwards.
