Homesickness after boot camp?

I'm currently in my job school. I have a five year contract, today it hit me how long it really is. How can I cope with the homesickness at times when it seems like holy crap can I stay gone for months at a time this long. Is it just something that takes time to get use to?
 
I was home sick in basic and AIT I think the problem there is restricted freedom, there for you have little else to do than think about home. When I got to my first duty station the home sickness went away, there was a lot to do on and off the job that helps you keep your mind off home.
 
After 18 years in service, I still miss what I used to call home, but have come to a realization that home is where I lay my head. I got used to being away just like you'll get used to it.
