Homes under the Hammer has to end!!!

My other half despairs of me - I'm obsessed with HUTH and watch it every night on replay. I actually like the cheesyness, it beats pretend, lame trendiness any day.

It's not fair to say that they haven't woken up to the recession, I've seen loaRAB that have the developers renting out instead of selling as there's litte or no profit to be had in the current market.

I just think it's an excellent little slice of life show, with high production values (for daytime) and extremely likeable presenters.

The two complaints I have are: They never feature any Scottish properties, or indeed any properties similar to Scottish housing stock - there's heavy emphasis on terraced back to backs etc. Assume this is because of separate conveyancing system, but would love to see something similar up here.

And the 'gangster' song they play three times per show is beyond teeth-grating. Change the tune!!! It drives me mad.

But otherwise, well, not a bad little show, and just cosmetic upgrading required to turn it into a little gem. Let's see how it did when it went to auction :)

I agree entirely. The same dozen or so auctioneers year after year.

Recently they seem to have edited out the full address of the properties at the start of each auction, which prevents me from checking on progress on the house price sites!

Indeed he is !

I'm at work so occasionally tape it if i can remember to do so .

I sometimes dip into the early evening ones on uktv style ( sky 256 ) too .

I know i've mentioned it earlier on here , but i do think Lucy is top grade "A" totty !!!

I notice one thing about the repeats. It doesn't matter how old an episode is, Lucy and martin will look the same as always. Neither of them has even had a major hairstyle change... is that in the contract or something as a way of disguising repeats?

I am trying to trace a particular property that was featured in Homes Under the Hammer.
It was two ladies who opened a fabulous childrens shoe shop in a small village in Kent following the purchase of the property at auction.
Does anyone remember this programme? Do you remember the name of the village?.
