Homeless people

Today, on the way to the cafeteria in the middle of a math competition, a homeless man threw a cup filled with coffee at my friend.

Here's how it happened. We left the first part of the contest and started to discuss some of the problems with a few friends. We passed by the homeless man who was at that time muttering something incoherent. We make a left at the corner and continue to discuss the problems when about 20 seconds later one of the friends says the homeless man is following us (he is at this point about 30 yards away from us). We assume he is just walking to the metro and continue discussing the math when out of the blue he pegs my friend with the coffee cup covering a different friends papers and my face in coffee. He then says "Dont you ever let me hear you say that again" looks like he is going to hit my friend but instead walks off.

I saw about 5 other homeless people afterwards and I have been nervous with all of them (especially nervous when I saw this guy again).

I used to give homeless people whatever change I had on me as I felt really bad for them but this has changed my view entirely. This man is dangerous and delusional and overall a drain on society. He should be put down like the rabid mutt he is.

The crazy thing is we recently had an assembly about how bad bumfights.com is and I agreed that it was horrible as I feel no one should be hurt unnecessarily. But now I feel they are hurt by living and they pollute otherwise clean streets. I call for the summary execution of the mental defects and psychotics for the betterment of society and the safety of the contributing citizens.

Meg, don't let one deranged homeless person change your view on homeless people. While this was just some poor assfuck, almost no homeless people are like that.

That's really ignorant to say that they should all be put down.

All those homeless fucks around DC are nuts. I'm sure you have seen the countless numbers of them that tour DC on the metro, talking to themselves, their transparent "friends", or screaming about god.

Yeah, though some homeless people are crazy, you have to admit that YOU would probably be crazy too if you had to dig through dumpsters for food and sleep in a doorway. Its sounds like youre talking about dogs when you say they should be "put down", when in reality, most dogs live better than them.

My theory is that there are no crazy people, just people trying to fuck with our minds. Just a large group of individuals joining the "Crazy Train" and rambling on about stuff they think would be crazy enough to be convincing.

So using this theory...they're not crazy, they're just assholes.

Not all homeless people are bad. The one you ran into was probably just drunk. There are also plenty of people who claim to be homeless, but have a place to live, and just panhandle for money. It's sad, but at the same time, I will no longer give out money to a homeless person due to panhandlers.

What are you? A Nazi?

I don't give money to homeless people for a few reasons:

1) There is NO excuse to not have a job in this city.
2) A lot of them make 400 bucks a day from panhandling.

I'm not sure how it is in other cities, but that's how it is here.

The only actual experience I ever had with a homeless person wasn't bad at all. He was actually a pretty cool guy, obviously kind of fucked in the head, but hell.

Was just out getting my daily skate on with a few friends one day and this dude just roams on over to us and starts bullshitting. He showed us his makeshift living quarters and everything, in a little alcove outside of a food processing building, that's where he set up camp. Assumably he was forced out of there sometime later that day, which is probably why we never saw him again.

I could tell this man was not a bad guy, good personality, good sense of humor, but there was obviously something not right with him. He seemed far too intelligent to settle for this path in life, whatever, I'm rambling.

They're not all drunken coffee-throwing idiots.

Ok Hitler.

As a person who suffers from a couple of mental defects I should tell you to :mfinger: sit and spin but since I'm a classier person then that(90% of the time) I'll just express how sorry I feel for someone like you.

K? Thanx.

Word.

Once the state can no longer afford to care for them and they have no willing family, they end up on the streets. It's really horrible because it's not their fault. It's not like they are lazy or something. They have a debilitating(sp?) mental illness.

Most schizophrenics I know have to take about 10-15 pills a day just function on a normal, routine level.

And do you know who you can thank for that? John F. Kennedy.

He cut funding for the mental health care and turned out a lot of people who needed help. Rather than care for people with mental issues, he would have rather had them living on the street. Since then, nobody has bothered to fix JFK's mistake.

And you all thought JFK was a nice guy didn't you?

He openly cheated on Jackie and got us into Vietnam. I never saw the appeal, myself.

Then again, I never had to live in a world before he came along..so I have nothing to base my assessment of JKF against.

That kind of reminds me of something that happened to me a few months ago. I was in Seattle waiting for my ferry to come so I could get home. I was with one of my friends, and just as we walked into the terminal thingamajig, this woman came down the hallway and was yelling to herself stuff about how she should kill everyone here and stuff.
It annoyed me, so I called the cops. Of course, there was a giant bus in the way when the cops did drive by, so they didn't see her sitting in front of the McDonald's, rocking back and forth and screaming at the top of her lungs about something, but it was really strange and disturbing.
