Home Replacements

I always check the market for new apps, widgets, and games. I usually alternate between Open Home, Sweeter, and the normal default home. But since I added the Hero theme I haven't really bothered installing Open home.

But I thought about it all, I like Sweeter home. And today in the app store there is a "Text Widget" It displays a 1 x 4 widget when placed on the screen and displays the last received text message. You're supposed to be able to click to reply but that feature hasn't been working, I just sent a call log to the dev though.

Anyone using Sweeter home would realize that you can do this on a successful level using this home replacement.

Mainly though I was just thinking about home replacements and how its a lot of anesthetics. If I could, [but no, sadly I couldn't even start] I would look into making a home replacement with a bit more of a kick.

Ability to turn of lock screen, auto adjust light via camera, quick toggel settings, shortcuts, and other such features found in some very nice applications lately.

I'd like to see it done, just raising a commotion over it all for maybe a dev looking into such a thing.
 
I think the potential of home screen replacements have barley been approached. Look at Rosie (Hero UI), it's basically a home screen alternative app.
 
OK - if you have #android 1.5 and WANT Sweeter Home on YOUR phone please reply @sweeterskins with your wish!!! Need volume of requests!!!
 
I think it's fine without 1.5
Only Hero phones/Sense are running 1.5 and they don't need HR's, and they're getting updated SOON. And the Behold and click run 1.5 and they have custom ui's so eh.
