In the meantime got the ugly letter from the mortgage company demanding insurance before they impose and pick some three times more costly. My question: what allows them to demand that the insurance purchased be retro-active from the date it ceased? That is time past. No claims to be made on time past. What right do they have to this demand? Why can't my new policy initiate at the time and date of purchase? What a racket.
