Home education instead of public school ?

Hi. Most tutors charge between £25 -£30 per hour - this should also cover travelling expenses.

You pay extra to take the exams which you have to enter yourself. Your tutors will tell you which board they are working with - and you can obtain a copy of their prospectus and charges by going on line to each of their websites.

You will also have to find a centre in which to take the exams - so start looking right away. Some local schools wont do it because they are frightened that it will effect their place in the league tables if the candidate (your daughter) is an unknown quantity.
Some schools are very helpful and you just have to hand in the course work on a given date and turn up for the exam - for which you have to have proof of identity.

If you wish to take Art - you'll find it difficult to find a centre to take you as an external candidate.

Youc an google home-schooling and see what you come up with for your area. Look up homeschooltutoring too - see if that helps.

It will depend on the laws in your state - some states require yearly testing to make sure she's keeping up, some require you submit curricula, you'll need to buy books and activities and stay home from work (probably the most expensive part).
