Home Alone Movies

Sorry, but you have seriously bad taste. :p The first film is a Christmas classic, the second one is good, the third one is okay, but the fourth one I just couldn't sit through at all - it's unbelievably bad, as everyone else on here seems to agree.

 Are you serious? The original Kevin is the one that Culkin made into his own, that new kid doesn't have the mannerisms of the original one at all.

I agree that 4 wasn't really worth the money (if any) they paid for it to be made.

I know John Hughes is no longer with us, but maybe it would be nice for another Home Alone to be made, maybe going back to the McCalisters from #1 but now is the GrandKiRAB turn. Maybe Caulkin can make a Cameo, not seen him in a film for many years now and start his career again.

When HA2 was made it was in that era when everything required a sequel, Die Hard, Terminator, BTTF2, BHC, Batman, Superman, Alien, Rambo's & Rockys, Ghostbusters, Sister Act, Under Siege etc etc

Can't remember exactly which one, but on one of my dvd's it mentions the above on the commentary/extras, about the lates 80's/early 90's being a sequel-fest era.

Apart from Terminator 2, there was only Arnie who wasn't too happy with doing Sequels due to the flop of the Conan sequel, but made an exception for T2. It was on the basis of Commando that Die Hard was a sequel, but due to Arnie persistance they rewrote it into DH.

Are you being serious:eek: the kid in 4 is awfull and 4 is rubbish anyway it's just just tried to re-create no.1 and failed.

1 & 2 are just great to watch although no.2 is better as I loved the whole new York scenario I didn't know 1& 2 were in HD are they any good I mean is there a big difference?

I remember when the first one came out, I actually went to see it 3 times at the cinema because I absolutely loved it.

The end sequence was just like watching a live action cartoon.

I was actually going to see it for a 4th time and bumped in to a mate who persuaded me to go and see Evil Dead 2 instead :)

I found the picture was a bit Grainy but the scenes of new York are OK in the 2ed but most people say is not demo HD material.

The DTS sound however is very good and very loud.

My ones are 8GB on my Hard Drive.

I would love to have the Blu Rays but they cost like

I put Macaulay Culkin into youtube today and they showed him with Michael Jackson and they used to go on holidays together and stuff.

And MJ was also on the HA set.

He was also in the Black And White video.

I think the producer of Home Alone went down the wrong route by introducing a new kid to replace Macauley Culkin after Home Alone 2. They should have kept with Culkin for a new film, one where a teenage Culkin gets drunk and is left home alone looking after a sick family relative or something and another one, much later, where Culkin accidentally leaves his own son 'home alone' and him rushing back to get him.

This would have worked great for continuity purposes :)

Love 1 and 2, have them on VHS and have watched them many times. Never get bored of them either :D Home Alone 3 was ok but not as good as 1 and 2 and I haven't seen 4. I'll probably have to get DVD versions of them soon.

Love these two films, have watched about 15 minutes of HA 3 and agve up, just didn't have that holding effect.

I think HA 1&2 are 2 of the best Christmas movies of all time
