That is one totally spun out list of games. Its interesting to see the Japanese gamers have a completely different view of what games are good and bad compared to us.

Anyway, good to see maybe japan is starting to warm up to the 360 after all.

This is an article, written by Tim Rogers from America, just writing about his personal opinion on what games he thinks are the best in Japan...

This isnt an official top 10 games of Japan 2006 report lol I think you will find it will most likely be a DS game or Zelda:TP thats no.1 officially.

America is probably the only place where Xbox has had massive success.

For the rest of the world, its not so big. The 1st Xbox was a failiure everywhere apart from America. Why do you think Microsoft lost $4 billion dollars on it despite software sales?

The 360 isnt doing so bad this time round but its biggest success has been America, again. Not that its a bad thing...

But you guys are fed Microsoft marketing on a daily basis lol I dont think ive ever seen an Xbox advert over here. Its not as big as you think.
 
I don't think they're so much anti-american w/ the 360....they're just not into FPSs and they fucking LOVE RPGs. If the 360 had more games that appealed to them, they'd buy it.
 
No, there taste in games are a little more broad than say the US. Go off the list of hit names the last couple years in America, pc and 360 included. Most of the games are FPS.
 
Broad? Bullshit.
Look at most of their games that make top 10 lists. At the moment its all pokemon titles. Yeah sure they love all different kinds of games.
 
I never said that. I just said it had great success which it did.
Only place it fell on its ass is Japan because it didnt have enough cooking simulators and pokemon games.
 
You know they probably say the same shit about us and our game choices over here. I mean year after year it's a form of FPS' that sweeps the interest of the gaming community, oh lets not forget the Madden series. The same revamp here, a little revamp there... And there you have it, Madden 2008. I will say this though, say what you want about the Pokemon series, but the games are pretty deep. Maybe that's what they desire overthere. Something with a great storyline that lets one play for hours on end. Zelda sales like hot cakes overthere, as well as Metal Gear. Maybe that's what microsoft needs to do. Rather than relying on another iteration of Halo or a Halo clone for that matter, to win the Japanese over.
