Holy shit PS3 Grill

DJKlitz,

The PS3 is a piece of art which should not be put inside a TV cabinet. The XB360 is not as nice looking as the PS3 and it should also not be put inside a TV cabinet. Both are not shaped like a regular 19" DVD player. The Wii looks like an Apple computer. You can put it almost anywhere you want and it should probably not over-heat because it is not 19" wide.

I get a kick out of all the "FAKE" people.

How the hell could it be fake? It's there, the guy use it... what do you think he did, used the Cell CPU for a heating unit?

what he really means is...
What got me isn't that it was probably a fake, that a grill could be inserted, it was all the space inside, the possibility that it could have been made so that it is square. It's just like the XB360, is there any reason for it too be shaped the way it is? I really do prefer the Apple computer shape of the Wii, the plastic covers look thick and strong. That is not the impression I get with the XB360. But, then, I'm amazed that people would spend good cash for skinning kits for their XBoxes, XBox360s, GCs. PS2s, etc. The PS3 gives the impression that it should be on the top of a table , book case or TV stand, definitely not inside of stand. In the case of the XB360 it is what, 19" wide? If people are used to inserting DVD players inside their stands, then it would stand to reason that if the XB360 is shaped just like it that they would put their XBoxes & XB360s in the same space as a DVD player. Then you could have a problem with heating and air flow. So if you have a 48" wide TV, you might as well put it on a table which is 72" wide. If you have a PS3 and an XB360, you might as well put them on a table top that is 96" wide. That is a lot of real estate.

Here are pictures of the real insides of a PS3: http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=715674
