Depp as The Riddler would be great, imo. Still gonna wait for better confirmation though.

I really hope The Penguin isn't in this one. Ugh. What a horrible character. Unless they have him in there as Oswald Cobblepot...as like a regular arms dealer or what-not. Not the crazy deformed character from the comics/movies.

Considering the direction that Nolan has taken with the series, the Penguin is the worse idea (as Nolan, himself, stated). I don't mind the Riddler or even Depp. Depp is a great actor and I have enjoyed most things he has been in, but he's far too obvious a pick. If Nolan wants to hit another "homerun" like he did with Ledger, he might consider Daniel Day Lewis. Philip Seymour Hoffman is a great choice too, but not to play the Penguin. Maybe he can have all three actors in the film, but not necessarily in obvious roles.

The Batman villain rumors have been flying, with Michael Caine telling MTV News he thought Johnny Depp and Philip Seymour Hoffman would play the Riddler and Penguin, respectively, in the “Dark Knight” follow-up, and Hoffman responding that he hasn’t spoken to anyone about the project.

“I don’t know if I’d be a good Penguin, to be quite honest,” he confessed to MTV.
