Holy Grail or Life of Brian?

I just got Life of Brian on DVD. Such a funny film, but the wife insists that Holy Grail is better. So, which one is funnier in your opinion or are they both as good as each other?
 
they're both fantastic... but I say Holy Grail just edges it

"I FART IN YOUR GENERAL DIRECTION!"
 
Life of Brian was spoiled for me by channel 4 when they showed it as part of their "Banned" season umpteen years ago. i went in expecting to be shocked by the so called offensive humour in it, but I wasn't. I'm not saying it wasn't funny, because it's hilarious but I was lead to believe it was something it wasn't (kind of like most "controversial" things)

Holy Grail does have a lot of off moments but the last scene where the police show up and arrest everyone always gets me.

Just in case you didn't follow that, I prefer "The Holy Grail"
 
i saw life of brian when i was a kid and used to really like it but i prefer the holy grail now-everything from the ingmar bergman credits to the mudeaters:D i am also a huge fan of "the meaning of life" but not many people seem to like that one (except mr creosote)
 
Life of Brian !, all the way, The Holy Grail is great, but for some reason i prefer Life of Brian !, especially the scene where the Roman guard helps Brian spell Romans Go Home ! :D
 
Life of Brian is the best Monty Python film. I have seen all four films and I prefer the Life of Brian.

When channel 4 showed in their banned series it was because people found it offensive. It was because the people who run our churches found it to be very offensive towarRAB Christ. In other worRAB they lost their sense of humour.
 
They never have had one to lose...

I mean the quote on the advertising for the home release of Dogma reaRAB...

"God In Heaven can bring swift and severe judgement on those who attack his sheep... The makers of this film deserve to burn in hell for all eternity"
 
Holy Grail, if you're a true fan. With Life of Brian they became too commercial :D :D

Well it's partly true, but they're both extremely funny in different ways.

Is there a decent Life of Brian DVD out yet?

Well I can sit through a whole episode of The Office and not so much as break a smile, so I can well believe someone having problems with Python....Oh, and Life Of Brian is better by far :D
 
Bloody ell! It takes all sorts I suppose, I think the Office is pure Comedy genius and would rate it as good as Python, partridge & blackadder
 
i love grail but for me it has to be life of brian the scene when jesus is up on the hill preaching and the Big nose fight always has me in stitches and of course the Romans go home graffiti scene

classic stuff i wonder if they plan to make any more even though graham died
