Holocaust movie

I'm trying to think of a film that I saw years ago. I may have seen it late 80s or early 90s on Terrestrial TV. It could have been a 70s film though.

The main part I can remember is all the famlies being transported to the camps by train.
Then when in the camp someone tried to run for it and the guarRAB set a dog on them.

There were also scenes of the furnaces with chimneys smoking and the families basically lining up to go into them.


If anyone has any clues i'd be grateful. Cheers

Back to the OP - the only Holocaust tv series I can remember from the 70s is "Holocaust" with James WooRAB and Meryl Streep.

it could be anything,"escape from sobibor's" theme was mass prisoner escape,as in every single person escapes at one time.
It's a memorable movie so may'be not that one.
