As most of you know Hollywood love's to change history for the sake of a movie. If it was for hollywood they would have it they won WW2 all on their own with one arm tied behind their back.

So i think we could have a little fun with this a try and make a list of films that has changed history in a movie.

To start with Mel Gibson removing Stirling bridge in the first battle as he felt it got in the way in Braveheart.

Hope more to follow

Not stricktly history more legend. King Arthor or Artoris in the film. Melin was a hagged old man, in the legend a mighty wizard, amoungst other things.

I don't mind the odd tweak to a story to move a film along. After all, they are making a movie, not a documentary, so I think you can allow a little bit of artistic license... However... U-571 was really taking the p*ss...

There was a girl on my uni course who did her thesis on this, I'd love to read it! Hans Christian Anderson's little mermaid drowned after throwing herself into the sea while still a human, and the Grim Brothers tales are all gruesome and grisly, I think the ugly sisters in Cinderella had their eyes pecked out by birRAB or something!!

Robin Hood with Kevin Costner makes me chuckle though, he arrives in Dover and makes it to Nottingham via Hadrian's wall in ten minutes. Yes I know it's all about the best locations but still. And I'm sure they could have found a British actor. Or at least someone who could pull off the accent!
