I hate the holidays. It's like god and the forefathers are just trying shove the happiness of everybody else right in my face.

I don't have a job.
I don't have a car.
I can't drive even if i had the car.
I don't have a girlfriend.
No girl has even considered me.
My family doesn't help and even when they try it's for the wrong reasons and the most unsuccessful way even when I try too.

But lets look at the bright side. I have a house, food, clothes, etc.... Both of my older brothers have girlfriends, one of them a wife. My sister has a boyfriend. All of and I mean, ALL of my friends have hooked up with somebody this week alone. The girl that I tried to hook up with found her happiness in someone else, but at least it was someone. (better not be a bastard)


I have the feeling that one day I will obtain all of these things and actually know what it is like to be an active member of my society because that is mostly what I want but I still have to say......


life sucks.
 
c'mon man , cheer up dude !!

life isn't that unfair !!

1. you don'T have a job fine thats the worst thing , try get one , i know you tried try harder next time!
2. You don't have a car okay but do you desperately need one ?? cars are expensive fuel is expensive ..... ->Hell of money needed to run a car.
3. ..... get a licence !
4. You don't got a girlfriend okay no time to let yourself go man work on you , your carisma , your behavior , something isn't right , figure out what and eleminate the issue , talk with your bro , ask your sis what's not right on your behavior towards woman ! It will work out believe me !!

I'm not one to advocate depression, but the kid is right. Why should we celebrate when everything is just going to shit. I believe the holiday season is also the busiest season for suicide hotlines. It just sucks when you got problems and no one seems to give a rat's ass, especially family. Everyone has problems but you must face these problems with some dignity and earnest. Don't bring others down. If you can fix these problems, fix them. For the things that are not in your control, you just have to grin and bear it until you find a remedy. Prayer helps sometimes. It may seem like desperate times, but your problems are trivial to the guy who might lose his house, the guy who needs a new kidney, a child with cancer. Nonetheless, you do have problems and you don't have to be happy because it's the holidays. It's easy to be jovial when things are going well. This year, things are not going well, so I don't feel like giving thanks. In fact, my holiday greeting this year is, "Fuck everybody."

Well take a step back and look at my side...the side you want. I have a job 5 days a week 50 hours a week, I have a car(along with all the repairs and payments), I have a house(along with electric, water, rent), I have a girl(along with my baby). Guess what? My family doesn't help me either I have to do it myself. I guess all I'm trying to say is the grass isn't always greener.

So you can either stay for broke or get up off your ass and go and get it.

I don't have a job. - Me either. I stay at home with my kid. Sometimes I miss the bustle of my old job.

I don't have a car. - I have one that I don't like to drive.
1. It's too cold out 2. I don't have anywhere to go. 3. 10 dollars of gas for a quarter tank pisses me off

I can't drive even if i had the car. - I have a license. Big deal :p They are easy to get.

I don't have a girlfriend.- Me either. I have a husband and sometimes the allure of being single without having to deal with him sometimes sounds great.

No girl has even considered me.- same with me. But When I was single I had a bitch of a time finding a guy. Not that I wasn't pretty enough it was that I had the great friend/sister personality and guys didn't see me as someone to date. Chin up my friend - love will find you!

My family doesn't help and even when they try it's for the wrong reasons and the most unsuccessful way even when I try too. - Most family don't help and usually fuck up tryin when they do. Mine unfortunatly does - then uses it against me. I am still hearing about when I was in my early 20s I got discounted rent in one of my grandmother's apartments.

So yea. Everyone's got problems. We all feel for you :)
 
We don't celebrate having things. That is just what corporate America wants you to think.

We celebrate

The pilgrimage away from strict controlled religion, which was the reason for America in the first place, protestants vs. catholics vs. quakers....ect.

We celebrate our health and family and food.
 
Maybe, but capitolism is fast becoming the religion of the 21st century. It's awfully hard to celibrate when corporate america is shoveling its pagentry and ideology in your face and expect you to toe the line like a mindless consumer sheep. Health Family and food is great I agree but not if you have to sell your soul to get it. :cool:
 
actually for once im enjoying the holiday... every year past something financially catistrophic has always happened to cripple me and make it impossible for me to get my son lots of gifts, big decorations, and big feasts.. Usually related to my car.

but I guess everything is doing well.. my car, although being a bit noisy lately works fine... no surprise bills.. no job problems... holy shit... so im going to have a big christmas this year and not feel bad because popop sent more presents for under the tree then I could provide... YAY...

and one day it'll happen for you too.. just dont give up..
 
In America, you choose your religion.

And no, you don't have to sell your soul to get anything. People spend way too much time complaining about what they don't have.
