Holiday Season Ruined again

Please do not say I'm a hypochondriac. My Christmas will be uncomfortable (again). Anyways I have a really bad sore throat. It hurts when I breathe, triple so when i yawn (Which I do alot). When I eat it feels as if I am being stabbed in the throat be a dagger. Two daggers if it's hard. Oddly enough, swallowing a liquid hurts more. Did you know that the human body produces a quart of snot a day? Most of this mucus is swallowed through the back of your nose. This action is uncontrolable, so I feel the pain every 2 minutes. Not to mention I have a cold, making me produce twice as much mucus.

You may be asking, "What's so bad about it being on Christmas (Or around it)? It could happen at any time." Granted, you are correct. But one of the things that I love most aboutChristmas is the food. To be precise, Eggnog, Fereros, and those little christmas chocolates (The caramel ones). Don't worry though, its always uncomfortable some way or another every year.

You should look at www.forbetterlife.org, the website of The Foundation For A Better Life. They have many stories that will make you happy. Although it takes a lot of willpower, I try to go there whenever I am enraged or upset because it is truly amazing what some other people have gone through.

Not that this will cure all that ails you, but take some vitamins. maybe some zinc and vitamin C. that will help to boost yoru immune system and you might start feelign better at least soon. You may not feel 100% by Christmas but you might at elast be able to taste your food.

I know how frustrating being sick on special days is like. I got a migraine on my wedding day. A super nasty one that made it impossible for me to taste the food I ordered for the reception. I am grateful I didn't have the headache during the ceremony at least!

Anyhoo, take some nyquil or tylenol cold/flu and some vitamins. I do find eating something warm like chicken noodle soup can be helpful. Try to avoid those throat sprays before dinner though. You'll feel better, but you also won't taste much of anything. That stuff numbs you.

Feel better!

Definately chicken soup, drink lots and lots of fluids and it will flush your system out and get good and healthy hot meals, like Bitch said. The vitamins will do you good too.

It does suck to be ill around this period, as I know, I've got a chest infection and throat infection right about now and it doesnt make it all that pleasant to swallow.

I do hope you get better!

Well- At least your not sick to your stomach. 5 years up until last year I was sick to my stomach on christmas to the point where I was throwing up. Now that's what I call a merry christmas. Woo! No. Just kidding.

I hope your cold thing gets better, It sucks to be sick on christmas.

Send all the wives and daughters (If legal) over to my house so i can have a merry Xmas and decrease teh drunken fighting at yours.:D :D :D
