Hoi, donkeypacker

From my perspective, packs will work best with large trackers that have other content as well. These packs work well because they will get consistently snatched (because of the large userbase, there will always be someone wanting to catch up on 'X' show) so there will always be seeders and there will always be motivation to keep seeding, and if they are freeleech there's the added incentive of free and consistent upload for keeping them seeded, which can be translated to downloading the general content of the tracker. The ratio imbalance of these packs can be oRABet by uploaders and ranks which can only be attained by seedbox whoring.

Is there a point or purpose in creating a small community that seeds only packs (which can sometimes be massive)? Where is the motivation? If I understand what Packme.in is, than it sounds insanely and entirely impractical. In order to match larger sites that use packs as a perk you would have to ask tons more out of your userbase, or you'd have to use alot of resources. I don't see much sense in the concept of your site. Perhaps I'm missing something.. if so enlighten me?

Well, I agree with you completely. that's why I'm not a member there. I only download packs from time to time and even then it's only TV packs. Besides going on a watching spree, they also boost my ratio. So what would I do at a pack only ratioless tracker. IDK, but maybe some people are just that into packs. Let them have their tracker, I say. I hear it's not doing that bad, so good for them and the best of luck.

what kind of packs do they have?? Do they have those kind of "most famous 80's movie packs" etc...? it would be a cool concept to only have rare packs

The site could work out imo as long as it has a bunch of dedicated seeders.. If not then it falls down to what truesounds said

the creation of packme.in coincide with the dismantling of the famous "i want [insert asterisks] for packs" argument... you can at least thanks them for that

Or you could upload them individually to KG and let them reach a bigger, more interested, audience.. They would probably live longer and have a faster speed.

packtracker = fail :lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol:

We don't want to be a small tracker at all. We realized that we were recruiting much too few members and at the rate we were going we might not make it, so we opened signup. We now have almost 5000 members and will continue to grow as much as possible with external invite applications and the like. Our aim is not to be a community tracker, in the beginning we wanted to try to weed out bad members the best we could as being a no ratio tracker requires more dedicated users but that was not possible so we have taken a different approach.

The purpose of PackMe.IN is to be an all packs, not to host other content. We feel this fills a certain niche because if we grow large enough we could end up having a large archive of great stuff readily available. A problem at a lot of sites is packs dying, making old or rare ones hard to find which is why a tracker which only provides packs could have its peers fully focused on keeping them alive.

I am always looking for suggestions to increase activity, our userbase, etc so if you have any I would very much like them. We will however not be closing down the site anytime soon.

I think you guys will be fine just so long as you don't recruit seasoned torrenters. They are notorious hit and runners, packs to them mean buffering.Just look at those who have responded in the negative on this thread as a case study.

ah...good point.. Kg already has rare movie packs that you can't find anywhere else. Most of their stuff are old though.
Maybe packme.in can be used for the newer generation of movies. HD packs, rap music packs, flac packs etc..

explain the faster speeds though.. i didn't know KG was good with speeds. I know the members are known for keeping their torrents alive for a very long time, but I haven't seen any specialty in their speeds

why the reason to buffer a pack only? if you cant HnR other packs? you will always have negative ratio on such site, what's the interest if no small things like xvid games etc u have there to download and spend buffer?

Haha, true. But I kinda liked the ''I want it coz packs'' argument. When asked which packs, some funny shit always came up.

ah...good point

Uhh explain why it would have better speeds if it were in a pack on a smaller site with people who share no common interest besides being hardcore into private trackers.. Wait I guess that means more of them would spend $$ on servers to transfer massive data, so you may have a point there :P

yea the only way to success with a tracker such as this is to have dedicated seeders. Like you said, it's very hard and aggravating seeding large packs..

How is packme.in btw. Can someone fill us up with some useful info..some basic stats at least

Where's the review
