Has anyone tried the Hogtunes 32 watt amp & 5x7 speaker kit on their Road Glide? Wondering about the sound quality & whether 32 watts is sufficient?

I spoke with Pez at hogtunes about two weeks ago. He has a new system designed specifically for Road Glides coming out some time in March i think. Give him an email or call and he will add you to his contact list for when the product is ready. Not sure about pricing or specs at this time.

Yes had the 5x7's delivered Thurs. Feb. 25. The RG Tweeter bezel will be here tommorow.

$630 Canadian for both.I might install them this weekend if I have time.

The amp with the 5x7's seems to be the same as the amp that came with the 902.2 kit I put in last year. The spec say the new one has 2 more watts. They have a new twist to it called Maxxbass. Not sure what the difference might be unless it's setting is a little different to put more towards the bass spectrum to push the larger woofer of the 5x7's. We'd have to ask Pez.

I've searched but haven't come up with too much on the 5x7's. I didn't even know they exisited untill a few days ago. Guess I'm going to find out.

Not for anything BUT a thought. If you're putting these in the stock size openings... and even WITH adapters etc... it would seem you will be blocking a significant portion of the speaker and perhaps end up with other issues... with parts of the speaker itself contacting the fairing itself etc... Now if you are enlarging that stock opening, I'd think ur good to go.

You are gonna get better sound quality out of a round speaker vs. an oval speaker. The oval, like a 5x7 or 6x8, will give you boomier bass, but it is at the expense of better overall sound.
