that would kind of depend upon the type of actual hits to your head or with your head, and how many times that occured, like over years? you can get kind of a cumulative affect with repeated hard hits to ones head, but that usually only happens when the hits are pretty direct. have you ever had any hits that you 'saw stars'? or were EVER knocked out or just laid there after one kind of "stunned"? have you ever had a hit with any 'zingers' that went down an arm or both arms?
there are varying levels of concussion that are possible, but from what you are describing here with no real hard hits or anything in your history that sounds like a concussion ever took place, it would probably be more "unlikely than likely" kind of thing? what if any other symptoms are you displaying besides 'just' dizzyness? is that what prompted the CT? the thing is you could also have some level of issues going on within more likely the c spine area that could actually produce dizzyness too? considering that you just did play football, but i don't know for how long, it may be a good idea to not only obtain an MRI of that c spine, but also the brain too, and with a contrasting agent. CTs are good for some things but when you really need that much deeper look into an area, an MRI with the contrast really would be ideal here. it would see down to the vessel levels within your brain(and surrounding soft tissue) and down to that spinal cord/ nerves level within your actual c spine too.
knowing just what prompted that CT and if you have any other symptoms would really help to know. like any strange 'feelings/ sensations either at the head level or neck or even down the arms to the fingers? FB
