I have hives for 7 weeks. Been to dermatogist, allergist and internal med dr. Been on predanose and many many antihistimes and still have hives on behind and upper legs.
Nothing has worked and am depressed that it will never go away. Please help.

If it's been going on this long through all these drugs, the source is probably something you are continuing to come in contact with. It might even be something you've used in the past and just recently become sensitive to. Which means you need to do some detective work.

What kind of soap do you shower with? Do you ever put any perfume, lotion, powder or any other product on that area of your body?

Since it's an area normally covered by clothing, consider laundry habits. I only use detergents that call themselves "perfume and dye free." I never use fabric softener, I use bleach only for spot-treating stains, and I dry my clothes in the dryer so they don't pick up pollen.

Or, it could possibly be the clothes themselves, though it's usually new clothes that haven't been washed yet.

I've even heard of people having allergic reactions to toilet seats that have natural wood resin!

Try taking a Zantac 150mg twice a day as well as your presnisolone and antihistamines.

Zantac blocks the Histamine H 2 receptors that are mainly in the stomach, but also some are in the skin. Its worth a trial for a week or so.

Another one to try is Doxepin - this is an old antidepressant from the 1960's, but it has been found to also be the most powerful antihistamone ever discovered. Might be worth asking your doctor if you can try it?

Thank you for responding. Dr.s do not know. Blood test negative. I am off prednosone, but taking Zantec, Zyrtec, Cingular and Hydrozyine(4xdaily). I will ask about the antidepressent today. Thanks for replying. Really appreicate it.
