Hello, I am a 63 yr old female, overweight, with Osteoporosis and arthritis in lower back for the past 5 yrs. since I fell at work 5 yrs ago and got a compression fracture from it, my back hasn't been the same, and because of my back hurting 24/7, I sleep on my right side all the time,it hurts too much to sleep on my left side, I have tried, but always go back sleeping on my right side. recently about 3 months ago, I noticed I had a bruise on the lower left leg just above where you bend your foot. it also was showing spider vericose veins in that area. couldn't figure out why, then one morning I looked at my feet and my right heel was pressing against that area where it was bruised. the bruise is still there and hurts just a little. I concluded that I hit myself in the leg at night while I'm asleep and don't know it. I recently had an ultra sound done on left leg because of pain (nothing to do with bruise), haven't heard anything, so I guess there is no problem, or I would have heard by now, it's been almost a week. does anyone else have that problem? how can I stop it? I go to a free Clinic (no health insurance),after the Nurse Practioner noticed the bruise, I explained why I thought it was there, she didn't say anything.
