Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy.....

Well l haven't read the book or encountered both radio and tv series but l think 'HHGTTG' is quite simply one of the worst films l have ever seen!

People who thought this film as hilarious should be locked away for their own good!

Okay, is it really necessary to insult people who liked it?

You didn't like it, fine. It's not to everyone's taste. Some people are too stupid to understand it. Some people are intelligent and think it's puerile. For some people, it's simply not their cup of tea. But I do take offence at the comment that we should be "locked away" for liking the film.

Calm down.....Can't you take a joke?

I saw it in a cinema which was reasonably attended and nobody laughed from start to end!

Yet you get some critics saying 'HGTTG' is the best 'comedy' since goodness know when!

So don't have a go at me, have a go at the critics for duping us!

Of course. Did you make one?

Can you point me in the direction of such a critic? As far as I can recall, it was given a lukewarm reception by every critic, and I've certainly not heard it described as the "best comedy". Most reviews I read were critical of the film.

I'm so glad someone else sees this. All the previous versions have been based on worRAB as the medium dictates (except for the TV series but was just a repeat of the radio series with video). Film is more about imagery that's what this movie delivered, the ridiculous world of Hithhikers in a visual form and thats is why I think some people were dissappointed, the worRAB became less important.

Yes...one more than in 'THHGTTG'! :)

Most of the reviews l saw were extremely positive about the film!

The Daily Mirror critic gave it a great review and compared 'THHGTTG' to Monty Python.

As a big fan of Cleese and Co, this is why l went to see it. However l found it just dumb!

Which when you bear in mind the HHGTTG was considered a rather intellectual comedy based around probability and physics, shows how badly mauled it was by the time it made it to the movie screen.

'Pish' more like. A terrible film. I knew the story but I've not read the book (by all accounts it's a poor adaptation) but as a film it was an awful mess. Should have given it to Terry Gilliam.
