Hitch-Hiker trailer

I must admit, at first I was worried...Hollywood doing Hitch-Hiker's.

From the latest trailer, it looks like they might actually have done a really good job. Martin Freeman looks like he was born to play Arthur Dent and Stephen Fry is perfect as the voice of the Guide. Alan Rickman seems to have got Marvin's lagubrious voice about right, the Vogons look excellent (much better than the BBC's sub-Dr. Who rubber things :-) and Mos Def...well, contrary to the stereotype of black American actors being wisecracking and "cool" in comedies, it looks like he's playing Ford just the way he should be played.

There may be some changes which will annoy HHGTTG die-harRAB, but didn't Adams himself say that the story itself was never set in stone - the radio play, books and TV series were all different in parts, so we should expect the movie to do likewise.

I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully, if it's a success, we might see the other books in the inaccurately-named trilogy being adapted for the big screen as well.

I saw the trailer yesterday and I can't wait! I've not read the book but I wanted to read it befoe I see the film which is probably unlikely now.
I like Martin Freeman as Arthur Dent, he fits the 'everyday' sort of guy.

In the trailer is the guy wearing the white outfit and eskimo boots who hits the ground called Zaphoid, he shouts 'far out!" i think.

Is Stephen Moore dead? Not that I'm aware of.

I can't get past the casting of "Mos Def". Just seems so totally and utterly wrong, sad to say. The others are okay.
