I was biking to work and saw a poor guy smash into a cab's passenger door that swung open really quickly and without warning. What are the laws in this case? What compensation can the guy get if he pursues legal action? Can he even pursue anything? I went over and he seemed ok, he took the cab's license plate # anyways, even though the passengers (2 teenage girls) walked away giggling without even apologizing. Dude bent the cab's door pretty good.
