my son was riding on the sidewalk on his bicycle riding against traffic and was passing by an apartment building driveway when a lady pulled out and never looked his direction and hit my son, completely knocking him off his bike destroying it and injuring my son. The cop came took the report and told my son it was his fault because he was riding against traffic. My son told the police officer that it was because his school was on that side of the streat so had no choice. What are the laws for riding a bicycle on the sidewalk? Who's fault is this?.
