From what ive read in Wikipedia, Korea was a very strong and vast nation that conquered parts of China and Manchuria, and made Japan its subjects. Wikipedia state that Korea was one of Asia's superpowers. Wikipedia also states that: "Korean scholars claim that the stele was intentionally damaged by Japanese army to provide a sort of historical precedent to later Japanese occupation over Korea. This is highly possbile since Japan has manipulated several historical documents during Empire era in early 20th century." to what extent did Japan manipulate historical documents? i've also heard that the Japanese stole lots of historical artifacts and claimed it as their own during the colonization. To what extent was korea strong? And why isnt any of this in the World History textbooks?
