Hello.
I was watching miss marple, the tv series which is set in London, in the '50/'60 and an African American singer was sitting in a very luxurious hotel. My mom said that was not acurate, that at that time blacks were treated as badly in U.K. as they were in the U.S. (we are Romanian, but living in the UK). I was looking on wikipedia, but there is no page for that.
I said that in U.K. there was less racism than in the U.S.
So, I'm wondering if anyone could please tell me the history of black rights in the U.K. and how blacks were and are treated there so we can settle the matter and learn something quite important. Also, i was wondering if anything happened in U.K. like it happened in the U.S.
Thanks!
