hello all! i have a history project writing about times in history when the stories behind the actual facts are more important than just the plain fact. IE. fact-george washington was the 1st president. story- (how he became president, etc)

even if you can provide an important historical fact, and i will figure out the story.

PLEASEE help i have to go to bed soon and im having such a hard time. giving 10 points to the answer that helps me! THANK YOU!! I LOVE YOU!
 
That's a cute question you posted. ...Battle of the Little Bighorn (the Custer massacre) has a rich history behind the actual event...whites invading Indian laqnds, treaties broken by the whites, whites attitude toward Indians, etc.....Battle of the Alamo.....The Civil War, it's beginning, what actions lead to hostilities.........The American Revolution.......If you mean to start with a single person....Death of Custer....Election of Sam Houston....Nathan Hale hung by the Britsh, etc.
 
Well you got the story of Abraham Lincoln and his nickname of "Honest Abe" which is quite true actually, you also got the story of Johnny Appleseed who was an actual person...
