Okay, my history midterm is tomorrow and I need help with these three questions! Please someone HELP ME!
1) Our focus on the Declaration of Independence obscures the fact that the move away from England was slow and gradual and never certain. Give examples beginning with Jamestown in 1607.
2) Explain “Civic Virtue” and how the framers of the U.S. Constitution realized something more than civic virtue was needed.
3) Early in our history, the growing issue of slavery began to intrude into the national political discussion. From the backcountry vs. east coat division, to the Northwest Ordinance, and on through the Constitutional Convention, show how slavery gave us a foreshadowing of things to come.
