For my history class the final is an essay, so the essay question says "What is the primary reason why the U.S. government believed it was necessary to curtail democracy both domestically and in other nations for the time period of 1947-1975?"
So i decided that the main reason was because communism posed such a great threat to the U.S. since communists wanted to take over the world.
So i researched a bunch of supporting details to support my thesis and i want to narrow it down to three, but i can't seem to decide which three would be the best. So hopefully you guys can help me decide
The reasons i have so far are: Korean War, New Deal, Federal Loyalty Act, Alger Hiss & Whitaker Chambers, McCarthyism, The Berlin Wall, Vietnam War, The Partition of Vietnam, South Vietnam War, Diem, and Gulf of Tonkin.
