History essay question help?

Did the cherokees, sauks, and other native americans nations have an alternative to the conflict they faced with the U.S. government? Choose a side and provide three examples to prove your argument.

I feel that the indians did not have an alterantive because they were fighting for their land that was taken away. Of coure that would be my stance, and would appreciate feedback. For my three examples im thinking of using
1.) Blackhawks war and i need to the examples can somebody help me please?
 
No, they did not have an alternative choice.
1. The U.S governmentt sent the calvary
2. too many natives were killed and if they prevailed to giving up their land, they would've all died.
3. The government owned the land.
