History coursework help - women and ww1?

For a section of my coursework I have to outline some of the problems that women suffered during and as a result of the great war.
The annoying thing is that we have not yet studied in this in class, yet we have to write an essay on it. So every little helps, thanks in advance.
 
The war decimated the young male population of England. Consequently, there was a postwar phenomenon of many English women "poaching" younger men as husbands. This had the effect of liberalizing western concepts of love and marriage.
