history as in has it been burned down have people died in the building? how long

has it been there? where do i find information and history concerning my home? things such as was the building ever burned? who lived in he building before? has anyone ever died there?
 
The best thing I could think of would be to call your local courthouse and ask to speak to the recorder of deeds office. You can then speak to them about records from your address. Where I live, we have an online database for all deeds the recorder records, so I would also check the website for your county, if your county has one.
 
You start at your city records department they would have all the papers permit and deeds that make up the history of the property. After that look at local papers for stories about your propriety. Finally look at the old logs of the police and fire services in your town for a record of calls to your address. Last of all go to your county records and do the same thing.
