For summer reading.
Has to be at least 150 pages and appropriate.

She's picky, so good books maybe she could even relate to? Or just books you think a 14 year old teenager would like. Thank You.

nine days a queen
beware princess elizabeth
mary bloody mary

any books:

twilight saga
harry potter series

a summer to die

Try "Of Human Bondage" by W. Somerset Maugham

I know, title sounds totally depressing. But it's actually a very good read; interesting, quick moving, and not what you'd think from the title. It's semi-autobiographical historical fiction -- so it sort of fits both categories. :) Any library should have it.

uprising by m. p. haddix. it's a wonderful hist. fic set in 1910, about the mill fires. i read at 14, and it was great.
the book thief might be a bit old for her, but it is by far the most beautiful book i have ever read.
