According to the DVLA it is perfectly legal for a driver to hire a car with a provisional licence. It does not matter that the car hire firms say you must have a full driving licence. You can hire a car with a provisional licence. The DVLA say so. I thought I had a full driving licence (I actually did have one, I hired 6 cars with it) But oh no according to the DVLA I never had a full licence, (they lost the bit of paper asking for ones full licence after passing test) so according to them I NEVER had a full licence and happily hired cars on a procisional licence which according to them I was entitled to do as I had passed my test. Are there ant INTELIGENT people out there who can see a way of getting my full licence back please. Alternatively everyone with a provisional licence go hire cars as much as you like after all the DVLA NEVER makes mistakes does it. Like it never lost loads of flies in a fire either.
