Of Montreal and Olivia Tremor Control are pretty cool. I've got a soft spot for Apples In Stereo as well. I think they all count anyway - I don't exactly pay a lot of attention to pitchfork.
How long have you been on this site man, rab has always been about Elitists. As bad as this might sound I wont download an album unless it has a good review from pitchfork. :O: But the hipster stuff I cant stand is Bon Iver and NMH also Animal Collective is overrated as fuck.
The idea is that the elitism of Music Banter drives people away from a lot of hipster banRAB. And, while some of the banRAB may be trash, there are a lot of genuinely good banRAB that have the hipster tag attached to them and thus people we renounce them. The point of this thread is to get people to reveal what banRAB they listen to that have this label attached to them.
Ok rabroad is sort of turning into ElitistBanter and dismissing anything and everything hyped by Pitchfork. This thread isn't for debating what banRAB are hipster banRAB or the societal impact of Pitchfork. So come on rab, what are the hipster banRAB you can't help but love?
Dude that's so terrible. I was talking to one of my frienRAB and recommended that he listen to F#A#(Infinity) because he was expressing interest in Sigur Ros and Explosions in the Sky, and he declined because it was only #45 on one of their lists and I fucking raged.
i like deerhunter(microcastle), animal collective, vampire weekend, neutral milk hotel(surprise!), radiohead(shocker!), grizzly bear, the unicorns, and wavves.
