hip popping and groin pain please help!

Well I had a car accident in May had whiplash, and then started having popping in my left hip. Went to my family doc., and he refured me to an orthopedic doc., did an X-Ray and it was normal. Then he sent me for an MRI, seen him yesterday to get the results to that and it was normal. Has anyone else had this problem? The doc. said he cant help me and doesn't no whats wrong, I am in alot of pain it hurts to walk everytime i step it popps and my groin pain is getting worse. Would just like to know what could be causing this pain and popping? Got an appointment for a second oppinion on Monday but I can't walk or stand without being in pain. Help me please has anyone experienced the same symptoms?

I feel for ya!!! My hip issue started 2 1/2 yrs ago and is still on going with a total hip replacement =( I would make sure you stay right on top of your dr's and tell them you want a ct scan.Your best bet would be get online and look under your insurance provider's list of ortho dr's and research them thats what i did.Then you can find out all about them and what they do and can do for you.Where are you from?

I am from Texas, I seen another doc yesterday to get a second oppinoin, he said its a tear in the Labrum he's sending me for another Mri this time with contrast. He says thats what will show the tear. If it comes back that it is he will have to send me to Dallas to a Arthroscopic surgeon but its 3 hours from my home just dont no about that ride back afraid it will be very hard. I am so sorry to hear about your problems too. Why did you have to have yours replaced? If you dont mind me asking?
