I think Huskies are great for hiking and not only that but pulling. My Husky loves to hike. Hmm..maybe any dog that loves to be outside.German Short Hair pointer...German Shephards...depends.

There are lots! Most dogs would love to go hiking. Check your local shelter and the staff just might be able to pair you up with the perfect dog! Alot of dogs end up there because they have to much energy for the owner to handle so would be perfect for hiking. You might as well take a look because you just never know.
http://dogbreedinfo.com/ is a great site with profiles on almost every dog breed. Take the dog quiz and it will tell you what dogs could potentially match your life style.
Good Luck!

I take my dobermans hiking all the time. they love it, stay close, and don't tire that easily.

i belive its called an african wild dog bot the crazy ones they are a real breed and are super fast dobermans cant stand hot or cold weather shepereds get distracted ealey labs just like to be potatoes or you can get a visla rhey love to run make sure they in a leash these dogs have great running feet a long nose short bright coat and all of these things help them but all dogs need training and dont forget water but these dogs will need 2 wealks a day for an hour and half each!

The best large dogs for hiking are dogs from the Sporting Group, Herding Group, Hound Group, and some from the Working Group(dogs with thick coats or dogs with flat noses may find it difficult.)

My Labrador does great but she certainly isn't the only breed who loves to hike. Almost any large, young, healthy dog who has short hair and a long/average muzzle will do great!
