Hike Ireland or Scotland?

I am planning on two hikes in June of 2010. I will either hike the West Highland Way and Great Glen in Scotland or the Dingle and Wicklow Way in Ireland. Not sure which two hikes to take? I am of average fitness and have some previous hiking experience in my immediate area. This will be the first long distance hike I undertake. I would like to spend some additional time in either country after my hikes. Any advice from people who completed these hikes would be greatly appreciated. Female 40 traveling alone.
